
WHO ARE WE?
Youth Taking Flight is a grassroots youth-serving organization dedicated to providing engaging and impactful educational experiences for at-risk youth with particular focus on Black, Indigenous, People of Colour ages 12 -29. Within a dynamic relational framework that facilitates specialized skills training, while encouraging creativity and communication, YTF endeavours to deliver meaningful programs that promote positive growth in young people for a better future.

OUR MANDATE

To work with youth, particularly those at risk, to promote positive self-development

To promote the increased involvement and participation of girls,
black/ racialized youth, and ethnic minorities in STEM learning

To create a platform for youth to network, share ideas, and build positive support systems

To provide opportunities for youth to explore the fields of Aerospace and Aviation.

To develop youth leaders and mentors.

To achieve gender parity in all programs promoting involvement
of girls in STEM (Science,Technology,Engineering and
Mathematics).
